Attendees or students can comment or ask questions via chat or by raising their voice. This is as long as the instructor has enabled these options and given permission to turn on their microphone.

In the case of the chat, you have three options:

1. Comment in the general chat

2. Ask questions that are reflected in the question chat, thus prioritizing the questions so that the presenter does not have to scroll through the general chat to find them.

3. Private chat between the assistant and the instructor (no one else can see this communication).

To do this, simply click where you want to type. If you want to comment in the chat, click on the icon. If you want to ask a question, click on the question icon and comment.

In the virtual assistant/student room, there is a button that can "ask for voice".

In this case, the presenter receives a notification that someone has "raised their hand," meaning they are asking to enable the microphone.

The presenter must press the microphone icon to enable it. In this case, the student receives a notification that they must accept. *Attendees who do not have a microphone or do not have it properly configured will not be heard.

*The student receives this notification, which they must accept.

In some cases, the presenter wants to give voice to the student/assistant without having requested to "ask for voice." In this case, they just need to press the microphone icon next to the student's name. *Students/assistants who do not have a microphone or who do not have it configured correctly will not be heard.

*You can only give voice to one student/assistant at a time. To disable the microphone, simply click the microphone icon again.

*If you want to know how to enable webcam for an attendee/student you can read here .
