When you conduct a webinar, class, or workshop and speak directly into a computer, your full attention is on your online attendees/students. However, if you want to broadcast, it's different because you also have an in-person audience. This is why we're giving you 4 considerations to keep in mind:
1. Internet: You need to consider the speed and stability of the location where the broadcast is being made, as having many people connected to the same network can affect the speed you receive. In these cases, Wi-Fi is not recommended.
2. Audio: Ideally, you should connect the audio directly to the computer either through a microphone via bluetooth or by cable since you must consider problems with echo, people's murmurs or even the air itself when walking constantly.
3. Vision Frame: You must give the instructor or presenter a frame so that he/she does not leave the frame of the webcam/camera. You must consider the light, especially if the presentation is very white, many times due to the angle and light, the presentation is not seen well, so we recommend that online attendees view the presentations directly from their computer.
4. Spokesperson for online attendees: It is very important that those who connect online feel part of the in-person event. Many times they will want to ask questions or have their comments heard by the rest of the people, so we recommend having a person who serves as a spokesperson. Additionally, if the speaker has presentations, the spokesperson can share them directly with the attendees so they can see them better.
This is why we always recommend doing some technical testing beforehand from the location where the event will be held to ensure that everything goes well.
Forewarned is worth two :)
