To avoid fraudulent use by students, such as shared accounts and simultaneous access, we have:
1) Inability to access the platform simultaneously : The same student account cannot be connected to the platform several times at the same time. If this happens, it will close the previous session leaving only the last access as active, which will cause it to continuously log out students who have shared their credentials.
2) Access control by IP : If an account accesses the platform from a different IP than its previous access, an email will be sent to the student.
In the email you will receive, you will need to confirm if the IP you are connecting from is trusted and secure.
If you verify the information and confirm , you will not receive another email.
Otherwise, you will be asked to change your password and verify that someone is not trying to access your account.
This is an example of the email the student will receive:
Hello,
Your security is very important to us. This email address was used to access your XXXX account from a new IP address:
Email : [email protected]
and time : 31-08-2024 10:18:29
IP address : 80.50.192.321
Connection location : Madrid, Spain
If it's you, click ACCEPT ACCESS .
If it's not you and you detect suspicious activity, click REJECT ACCESS. We also advise you to change your password as soon as possible.
If you want to deactivate the security system, you can do it directly from the control panel, here you have how.
3) Unique link per person to access virtual rooms: Using the ClassOnLive videoconferencing system, the platform sends a unique link for each student, which cannot be shared. If this happens, it will close the session of the previous live class leaving only the last access active, which will cause it to continuously kick out the students who have shared their link.
4) You choose whether you want the content (videos, documents, etc.) to be downloadable (or not) by the student. If you select not to download, the right button to save or copy is disabled. Here you have more information.
