If you are hosting/delivering a video conference, you may want to share your screen with other participants at some point.

** This option is not available on mobile devices.

In the video conference room, you will find a button that will allow you to share your screen, but this button will not work if you do not first prepare your system properly, depending on the browser, please take note:

CHROME: If you have the latest version installed, you will not need to download any plugin.

If you have an older version, you must download the plugin . You can also install this extension from the videoconference room itself. You only have to do this once, on the device you are going to use. You will have to close Chrome and re-enter for the change to be processed, so we recommend you do this before your live session (if students need to share their screen, they must do this process as well).

FIREFOX - Make sure you have the latest version as you don't need to download any plugins. Check and update your browser here .

SAFARI or EDGE: Screen sharing is only available with the latest versions and no plugins are required.

Step 1: Select the screen sharing option.

Step 2: Inside the virtual room, when you click the share screen button, a message will appear and depending on the browser you use, it will give you some sharing options or others.

**Make sure to select (click) on the image/box to enable the "share" button.

**In Chrome, screen sharing will allow you to share the audio from your device in addition to the audio from your microphone. To do this, just select the "Share System Audio" option

Step 3: Then press the "share" button.

STEP 4: You will see a "cascade" of screens (infinite screens), this is normal . Go directly to the document, web page, video or file that you want your assistants/students to see. They will see everything that you see on your computer.

Step 5: To stop screen sharing, simply press the screen sharing button again.

** To share a PDF, check out here

Your students will see exactly what you do and where you navigate while you're screen sharing:
